Rand Water is looking for a candidate to lead and manage the Northern Region Key Account management by retaining and revitalizing Rand Water’s customer base, extend Rand Water’s business interest in identified strategic markets, improve customer satisfaction by optimising comprehensive customer relationship management, manage account settlements, negotiate and manage water supply contracts. The position will be based at the Pretoria Office.
Servicing customers by providing product/service information and resolving product and service problems • Engaging with key customers by building and preserving trusting relationships • Attracting potential customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information about other products and services • Conducting business reviews to determine customer’s satisfaction and use the findings to improve on areas of complaint • Meeting with Managers within Rand Water to plan strategically on all customer related issues and ensure that the business comply with the conditions of the Bulk Water Supply Contract • Expanding the Rand Water services by upselling and cross selling Rand Water services • Understanding key individual customer needs and addressing these • Knowing the competition in secondary water services and strategizing accordingly to win market share • Opening customer accounts, monitoring and managing customer payment and taking corrective action against defaulting customers in line with the Rand Water Credit Management Policy, MFMA, PMFA, Bulk Water Supply Contract and PAJA • Comply with Rand Water Credit Management Policy by following up on outstanding customer accounts in line with the internal service level agreement on account receivable notes • Reduce debtor days in line with Rand Water’s corporate key performance indicators by ensuring that all customers pay within the contractual period • Ensuring that Bulk Water Supply Contracts with all customers are valid and renewed when they become due • Holding customer technical meetings to resolve customer issues in line with the requirements of the Bulk Water Supply contract • Promotion and Protection of the Rand Water brand and image • Development of Northern Regional business plan and performance monitoring • Human resource management of Pretoria office staff, recruitment, performance management, training and development • Performance management by: - Aligning strategic objectives with deliverables of key account management - Managing the resources (people and money) in the section
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or finance • Desired Education: Post graduate degree will be desirable • At least five years’ management experience in key account management
