Creating and placement of purchase orders of raw materials, planners, roll outs, maintenance requests and tools
Quote requests (current and new suppliers)
Negotiating with suppliers
Following up with suppliers on orders
Resolving supplier and/or client queries
Ensuring continuous supplies of goods and materials
Tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery
Research potential suppliers and pricing, and obtain samples when required
Liaising with warehouse staff to ensure products arrive on time and in good condition
Liaising with shopfitters/field staff for in field supply when required
General buying administrative functions
Relevant Purchasing or Procurement Qualification is advantageous
3-5 years buying/ procurement experience within manufacturing industry
Relevant knowledge on a procurement / buying system
Microsoft / G-suite trained
Competencies required: Communication, well-organised;detail oriented, customer service orientate and problem assessment
