To monitor and control from the control room the running of equipment and alarms by means of a SCADA and other systems and record events on daily reports as well as to communicate events and callouts to relevant personnel as per systems and operational procedures
• Communication of the status of the shafts from the control room to co-workers
• Listening to problems experienced by co-workers in the field and taking corrective action
• Analysing data, trends and making suggestions to co-workers in the field
• Identifying scenarios that may lead to problems and suggesting corrective action
• Solving problems pro-actively to prevent plant losses
• Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) certificate is essential
• English literate
• Computer literate (MS Office Package) is essential
• Minimum 1 year experience in the underground environment is essential
• Must be self-driven, highly motivated with good people skill
• Must maintain a high standard of work
• Must have good organizing and delegation skill
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good engineering general knowledge
• A valid medical Certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate
