Duties and Responsibilities

Job Details
Group Finance: budgeting and forecasting, creating interim and annual financial statements, facilitating internal mergers and acquisitions, as well as dealing with analysts and investors.

Job Purpose
The main purpose of this role will be to qualify as a Charted Accountant after completing your training contract over a period of 3 years. In doing so, the trainee accountant will be required to sign off competencies as prescribed by SAICA (South African Institute of Charted Accountants) whilst complying with the regulations as set out by SAICA.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
On the job training within Financial Management, Accounting, Tax and Internal Audit gaining experience within various business units through a three – four month rotations, as well as attaining technical and professional skills. This will ensure that all the competencies that are required by SAICA are signed off in the three year article period.

Qualifications and Experience

Preferred Qualification and Experience
You'll need to have completed or be currently completing your Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) or equalivent from a recognised South African university accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). Either way, you will need to be a South African citizen. You need to be a good communicator and have good written and presentation skills, you also need to have strong Microsoft skills specifically Excel.
